A Question About Decreasing (Crochet)?
Hi, Chloe. It's like decoding a secret language, isn't it. So you understand the chain one part, make one chain stitch. Then instead of using the next space from the previous row, you skip over that hole. In the second hole over, you insert the hook, wrap the yarn and pull through (this is hard to do in my head!) but instead of pulling it through so you can do the next stitch, you leave the wrapped yarn on the hook and insert the hook into the next stitch. You wrap again, and pull all of that through to make one stitch. And then you do it again. Boy would this be easier if I could show you. Your normal stitch progression is insert, wrap, pull, pull...insert, wrap, pull, pull. Here you go insert, wrap, pull, insert, wrap, pull, pull. Does that make sense?
