Macbook Pro 13 or Dell XPS15?

I am buying a laptop and so far out of most PC's the Dell is the best, Priced at $999. Hoover, i have been told many times that Macbooks are better, but the price pf the Macbook is $1299. What is the better option for a teenage boy?
