Achitects anyone?

well im currently a senior and for the past 3 years ive been interested in drafting architecture....i like working on the CAD program and i could see myself doing that for a living..but that's just it, can you just do that for a living...working on the computer...do you need like a science background...i mean i kno u need math for sure..but wut else is there to prepare u...i dont wana be misguided in college and be paying for stuff that isnt necesary. i just want to someday contribute in designing buildings and such nothing too ..some advice or input plz
